The complex consists of the Liz Neale Hall and Stephen Miller Centre, comprising an inclusive physical development and wellness centre with changing and shower facilities.

 

This new complex allows the Academy to deliver a high quality, inclusive physical development provision and also community development by working closely with our partners Gateshead Kestrels (Community Disability Sports Club) and Smile Through Sport.

 

Cedars Academy Trust has taken a lead role in the development of inclusive Physical Education and Sport within education and the community since being awarded Sport College status in 2006 and a Youth Sport Trust (YST) ProjectAbility initiative in 2014.

 

Cedars Academy Trust have had a substantial influence in the development of inclusive practice within sport and PE both locally and at a national level.

 

Our new complex allows us to have an even greater impact on the number of young people who access our support and expertise. This is something we are committed to and are immensely proud of.
